Course Description
Lead is a highly toxic substance that poses serious health risks when inhaled or ingested—even in small amounts over time. Because the human body eliminates lead slowly, prolonged exposure can result in lead poisoning, which may cause severe illness or death. Workers in environments contaminated with lead are at greater risk of exposure and must take steps to protect themselves.
This Fortier Loss Control course is designed to educate workers about the dangers of lead, the symptoms and health effects of lead poisoning, and OSHA-compliant methods to reduce exposure. Through this training, participants will learn how to identify lead hazards and implement effective safety practices to protect themselves and their co-workers.
